What is Yoga?

​

Yoga is an ancient system, a meditative movement practices which includes both meditative elements and physical ones.

Offers inner healing, and rediscover a way of being that feels more YOU.

 

What is Pilates?

​

Pilates is an exercise system developed in Europe and refined in the United States by Joseph Pilates during the course of his lifetime.

Pilates is similar to yoga with a focus on each movement coming from the core or abdominal region. It is a workout that strengthens your core muscles, tones your muscles. Involves a collection of low-impact exercises that coordinate movement and breath. The focus is on building strength and mobility and improving postural alignment.

Yoga vs. Pilates: The Similarities

 

Both share a body & mind approach.

Both require mental focus and can help reduce stress.

Both practices work on core strength, balance, flexibility, and stability.

 

Yoga vs. Pilates: The Differences

 

Yoga focuses more on flexibility and broad muscle groups while Pilates focuses on muscle toning, body control, and core strength.

The main difference is that yoga tends to be more mindful, focused and spiritual than pilates.

What is Qigong? 

​

Qigong using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Can be practiced standing or in a seated posture.

Perfect for all levels. Focusing on good foundation, steady practice, move posture to posture, alignment and refinement of breath and movement.

  

Pilates - Mat - session

​

Thursday /online/ 

 

Strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on your core muscles while also training your arms and legs. 

Perfect for both beginner and advance levels. Dynamic and particularly good for people who are physically active.

​

Qigong session

​

Monday /online/

​

Great for all ages and abilities! Cultivating strength, harmony, and health through slow movement. Practicing traditional qigong sequence alongside essential qigong philosophy.

 

1:1 Session (in person or online)

 

This class is planned according to your particular needs and are a great place to build a safe strong foundation.

Private classes need to be booked at least a week before the class as I have limited availability.

All classes are subject to a 24-hour cancellation notice.

Please bring your own mat with you.

All online classes will take place via Zoom. Please be sure I have your email address and that you can receive emails from mudrasutra@gmail.com. Your link to the class will arrive in your inbox approximately 1 hour prior to your class.

If you have booked your space, and then are unable to attend, please let me know at least 24 hours before the class. Same day cancellations are counted as attended when you have a class bundle.
